Henry County Fair Guys & Gals Leadline Contest
HENRY COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS SHOW ARENA
OPEN TO ALL MALES & FEMALES AGES 4 & UP
The Leadline competition shows a different view of the sheep industry. Each animal is fitted and led on a halter, and the contestants wear wool ensembles to promote the use of wool, another by-product of sheep production. The contestants work hard to coordinate an attractive outfit and present it in a fashionable way. Many of the ensembles are beautiful to see, and the people presenting them truly enjoy the chance to show the versatility of wool clothing.
AGE DIVISIONS: (Age as of Show Day) 4-8; 9-12; 13-15; 16-21; 21-up
OUTFITS: Must be at least 70% wool, may be handmade or purchased.
COMMENTARIES: 200 Word Limit
PRIZES FOR EACH AGE DIVISION: 1st - $20; 2nd - $15; 3rd - $12; 4th - $10; 5th - $5 All Pee Wee contestants receive ribbons.
